Operation Sceptre

Hope you're all ready for the upcoming heatwave.  

Neighbourhood Team 1 officers have been out within Salford Quays over the past few days, in regards to high visibility patrols for #OpSceptre. This is a proactive operation in a bid to tackle knife and weapon crime within your area. The officers have also engaged with the retail premises within Ordsall and Salford Quays, working alongside partners from Mite, within their tactical response unit whom assist in the crack down of retail thefts. This relationship has been budding for the last year and has grown strength to strength with positive results of arrests, criminal behaviour orders and prison sentences showing a reduction in retail theft for the ward.

This week has also seen a member of the public appropriately dispose of large knifes by attending the station and surrendering them to our Amnesty Bin. Please keep an eye out on our social media page for where the Amnesty Bin will be next, appropriately disposing of knifes or weapons can prevent them from getting into the wrong hands.
